The Barolo & Barbaresco World Opening (BBWO) made its Southwest debut on March 25th in Austin, TX.

The event brought together more than 150 producers from the Langhe region, offering nearly 300 DOCG labels of Barolo and Barbaresco wines to sommeliers, trade professionals, and enthusiasts who had the chance to experience firsthand the elegance and complexity of those prestigious wines.

As part of the “Landmarks from Europe: Good products made with respect, Respect made with good products” initiative, BBWO plays an essential role in deepening the appreciation of these iconic denominations, as well as Fontina PDO, featured at the event as a remarkable food pairing.

By combining education, tasting, and cultural storytelling, the event offered a compelling experience that resonated deeply with North American audiences and contributed to strengthen international appreciation for Europe’s finest products.
